Heat2NeaT
Our Heat Pump Plate Set: the definitive external wall terminal for a professional, weather-tight finish.
Introducing an FM Products Original: HEAT2NEAT
The transition to air source heat pumps is the future of UK home heating, but let’s be honest: the finish behind the unit hasn’t always been pretty. Historically, installers have had to contend with messy core-holes, sagging lagging, and the struggle to achieve a truly airtight seal through cavity walls.
HEAT2NEAT changes the game. Designed and patented by trade professionals who have spent years on the tools, this innovative plate system provides a clean, robust, and professional entry/exit point for primary pipework. It’s the latest evolution from FM Products, designed by the people who use them.

Why Choose HEAT2NEAT
If you’ve ever finished a high-end heat pump installation only to be let down by the sight of jagged brickwork or haphazardly applied mastic around the pipes, you know why HEAT2NEAT is essential.
Installer-Led Design
This isn’t a lab-grown product; it was born on-site from the practical need to seal core-holes neatly and efficiently.
Airtight & Watertight
The shroud-and-plate system ensures a superior seal against the elements and helps maintain the building’s thermal integrity.
Total Versatility
Whether your pipework is running vertically or horizontally, the HEAT2NEAT system adapts to your installation layout.
The Neat Factor
It transforms a potential eyesore into a professional feature, giving your customers the high-quality finish they expect from a low-carbon system.
1 | Mark & Drill Core Holes
Use a spirit level to mark two vertical or horizontal centres exactly 150mm apart. Drill through the brickwork using a 78mm or 91mm core bit, depending on the size of your specific plate.
2 | Prepare Wall Fixings
Align the plastic mounting plate over the core holes. Mark the four corner fixing positions on the brick, then drill and insert plugs using suitable drill bits and wall plugs.
3 | Seal & Size Lagging
Measure the thickness of the finished wall surfaces cutting to length square so the pipe lagging sits flush. Apply a generous bead of weatherproof sealant around the edges of the core holes to prevent moisture ingress.
4 | Insert Pipes and Plate
Feed your copper pipes, pre-fitted with the insulation, through the mounting plate and into the wall. Ensure the lagging is pushed firmly into the plate’s protective shrouds.
5 | Secure the Plate
Once the pipes are positioned, use screws to fix the plate tightly against the brickwork. The sealant applied in step 3 will create a gasket-like seal as the plate is tightened.
6 | Final Seal & Connection
Apply waterproof sealant to pipework within the shroud before making any final pipework connections, finish installation with suitable external lagging. You now have plenty of space to connect your external pipework using your preferred fittings.
